Rafael Nadal came from a set down to beat rival Roger Federer to reach the Australian Open final.
The pair met in the semis because they were on the same side of the draw for the first time at a major since 2005.
In a fascinating match of very high quality Nadal won 6-7 6-2 7-6 6-4.
Federer produced some brilliant tennis at the start of the match but his game unravelled when put under pressure by Nadal.
For me it's a dream to be back in the final," said a smiling Nadal after the victory.
"It's a real honour to play against Roger, it was a fantastic match. It's fantastic to have one player in front of you who doesn't make mistakes, having a totally complete game."
Nadal, who has won 10 grand slams, now has a very impresive record against Federer.
Federer has now lost eight times to Nadal in 10 grand slam meetings and has not beaten him in the majors since 2007 at Wimbledon.
The Spaniard will play either Andy Murray or Novak Djokovic in the final on Sunday.
